Namibia, previously known as South West Africa was Africa's last colony to gain independance in March 1990, and offers some of Africa's most breathtaking and contrasting sceneries. Due to it's economic and political stability, Namibia is destined to become one of the most sought after tourist destinations on the African Continent.

It is a vast country, covering more than 318,000 square miles but has a population of only 1.8 Milion inhabitants, making it the most sparesly populated country in the world, thus offering huge areas of unspoilet and untapped nature.

Although often referred to as being a desert country, Namibia's central and western part is an arid and semi-arid desert. This hoever change over the huge areas of fertile Bushland Savanna, especially in the northern areas of the country with the Okavango and Caprivi tribal areas being referred to as semi tropical.
